Lauren Miller is a seamstress and stay-at-home mother from Arkansas. In 2020, Lauren founded her clothing company Elsie James to carry on her family legacy. Lauren’s company is named in honor of her great grandmother, Elsie, and her son, Lincoln James.
For this project, I was first tasked with creating a logo. Since family was such an integral part of Elsie James, I included two elements that represent Lauren’s family legacy. For one, the logo incorporates an image of her son’s footprint. Additionally, the logo includes the signature of her great grandmother. Together, these two components help capture the warmth of Lauren’s company and represent her family heritage.
Besides creating a logo, I was also responsible for other branding elements such as social media icons, business cards, fabric patterns, and clothing tags. Each of these elements were carefully crafted to reflect the quality of Lauren’s products and the legacy of her family.
Today, Lauren has expanded her reach by not only selling handmade children’s clothing but also crafting adult clothing. Currently, Lauren has over 2,000 Instagram followers and ships several orders each week. She has received positive feedback from numerous customers on the quality of her products and branding.
